Halifax Shipyard contract- what it means.

The combat portion of the Federal shipbuilding contract, worth $25Billion, over 30 years, was yesterday awarded to Irving Shipbuilding in Halifax. Estimates vary but figures being talked about are: 8000-10000 new jobs per year in Halifax and the province. Extra revenue to the Provincial government of $650-800 million per year.
